We never apply the same standards across all ages. Our two models are designed for how children actually think and create at each stage of growing up.
At this age, drawing is all about the joy of creating. We celebrate, encourage, and nurture. A blue sun or a floating house is not wrong at age 6. It shows healthy imagination and emotional expression. Our reports highlight what a child CAN do, not what is missing.
Older children start to care about how their drawings look. They compare themselves to others and can lose confidence easily. Our reports always begin with a genuine strength before introducing any growth area. We reward the effort to try something difficult, not just the outcome.
Every assessment tells a complete developmental story. Here are examples of all three report types that parents receive.

ACIF stands for Aesthetics, Creativity, Ideation, and Focus. These four areas form the heart of every Art Xcellence assessment. Together they give a complete picture of how a child is developing as a young artist. The framework was developed with Chitraleela Niketan Pune and is reviewed by practising art educators.
How well does the child make visual choices? This includes colour selection, how well objects are placed on the page, and whether the overall drawing feels balanced and pleasing to look at.
Does the drawing show original thinking? We look for fresh ideas, personal style, and the child's willingness to try something different rather than copying what is expected.
Does the drawing say something? Ideation measures how well the child has thought through their idea and expressed it. A drawing that tells a story or shows feeling scores higher here.
How much care and effort went into the drawing? Focus measures the child's attention to detail, their willingness to keep going, and the overall quality of their effort throughout the piece.
"When I received Arjun's WhatsApp card showing he crossed the overlapping objects milestone, I had no idea what that meant. The report explained it so clearly and warmly. I forwarded it to his grandparents right away."
"Writing one progress report by hand used to take me 40 minutes. With Art Xcellence, I review and approve the report in 2 minutes and parents receive something far more detailed and professional than anything I used to write."
"The report told me that my daughter's constant erasing is actually a sign of self-awareness, not a problem. I had been discouraging her from doing it. After reading the report I completely changed my approach."
Every drawing is assessed using our ACIF framework across four areas: Aesthetics, Creativity, Ideation and Focus. Each area uses rubrics designed for the child's age group. Every single report is then reviewed and approved by the art teacher before it reaches the parent.
Yes. All photos and data are stored on servers located in India, in line with the DPDP Act 2023. We collect parent consent before any assessment begins. Drawings are never shared with any third party.
A competition ranks children against each other. Our assessments compare your child only to their own past work and to what is developmentally expected at their specific age. A six-year-old's blue sun is celebrated, not marked wrong. We build confidence, not anxiety.
Any medium that can be photographed clearly works: pencil, crayon, poster colour, watercolour, sketch pen, charcoal, oil pastel and more. Our platform handles common photo issues like angle and brightness automatically.
No. Parents receive the assessment report directly on WhatsApp. There is nothing to download and no account to create. Teachers use the Art Xcellence platform to submit drawings and approve reports.
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled before the next billing date. Annual plans come with a 30-day refund guarantee. You can upgrade your plan at any time and we will adjust the price accordingly.
